Zagat’s list of the nation’s top 10 barbecue restaurants is out, and Pappy’s Smokehouse in midtown St. Louis tops them all. (Anyone want to join me for a pulled pork sandwich platter with potato salad and sweet potato fries?)

Pappy’s is at 3106 Olive; Bogart’s Smokehouse, owned by the folks behind Pappy’s and in my opinion a close contender for first place, is at 1627 South Ninth Street, Soulard.

Definitely had Pappy’s for lunch last week. Amazing!
